I have posted a full set of videos of my canal holiday aboard my parent's boat Rose of Yorkshire. There is only a short description
on each - if you want to know more watch the video!

Part 2 - Hull Marina to Newark
We left Hull Marina early in the morning to catch the tide. We kept going until Torksey where we moored
for the night. The next day we continued up to Newark.

Part 3 - Newark to Sawley
We had a look around Newark, and then continued up the river to Hazleford Lock to spend the night. We left
in a heavy shower, and worked our way steadly up the river to Sawley, where we left the boat for a week.

Part 4 - Sawley to Banbury
We did this section in two different weekends, stopping at Eric Woods place in Whittington. We then left
the boat at Brauston on the embankment for a week. Doug and Judith, my Uncle, and Aunt joined us for the
next week, where we took the boat to London.

Part 5 - Banbury to Staines
Continuation of our weeks long hike to London. We went down the South Oxford, and continued down the Thames.
We suffered a breakdown just South of Windsor where the reversing lock on the outdrive broke. Thankfully Chertsey
Marine had one in stock, and we managed to fix it.

Part 6 - Staines to Alperton
We went to Camden so Doug and Judith could have a look round. We thought our next mooring was down
the Paddington Basin Arm, but we found that it was in Alperton (West London Cruising Club), so it was
a bit late when we arrived.

Part 7 - Alperton to Waltham Abbey
We planned to do the Lee and Stort, so we set off the week before the rally, and did both ends. Unfortunately
I have managed to lose the tape showing this bit, and so the video stops just above Waltham Abbey, and
starts again at about the same place!

Part 13 - Denham Deep to Watford Locks
Another problem with the outdrive forces an impromptu repair, and then going up the Whilton flight the
propellor fell off entering a lock - this caused the boat to hit the cill knocking the bow/anchor roller
off. Dad returned weeks later with his scuba stuff and found the roller, but not the prop.

Part 14 - Watford Locks to Sawley

Part 15 - Sawley to Hempholme
Sawley to Hempholme in a weekend is difficult as you cannot do the tidal run in one hit. We reached
Torksey in one day, and then managed to wait on the piling outside Stockwith Lock for the tide the next day.
We reached Hempholme very late in the day.
