Filming of the Last Dectective 3rd Jan 2005
On the first day of our trip to the London Boat Show, was also the day that the film company filming the Last Dectective also decided to visit. A Greenford based company, the film crew are not new to this part of the canal - also filming on the first morning I spent at the boatyard! The episode in question is called the 'Towpath of Glory', about 'Dangerous' Davies (Peter Davidson) trying to break down the fiercely loyal brotherhood of an artillery regiment after the murder of an ex-Warrant Officer. Here he talks to his friend Mod (Sean Hughes) about a girl who would rather go dancing with a DS in his station. Sean decides the first to hit the can on the junction box buys the takeaway.
